joycelyn Engle PictureAs an accomplished speech and image consultant, filmmaker, author, writer, director, producer and talent manager, Joycelyn Engle wrote and recorded the first truly professional speech LP and cassette on General American Speech and Standard English, entitled ”So You Want To Improve Your Speech”, a national bestseller, which was discussed as “a necessity” by former New York Mayor Ed Koch and brought to public attention by David Letterman on The David Letterman Show. Joycelyn Engle has been a guest on National TV shows and the subject of many newspaper and magazine stories. She was interviewed about her classes, consultation, and CD by Regis Philbin and Mike Douglas on their shows, in a full page feature story in the Sunday New York Daily News, and in numerous magazine publications.

As a prolific writer, she also wrote in-depth stories on the lives of super personalities including Elvis Presley, Howard Hughes, Groucho Marx, and Jon Voight published in Las Vegas Magazine and Society and Diplomatic Review, a UN endorsed publication.

Ms. Engle’s vast expertise has been exemplified through the multiple roles she has fulfilled in the entertainment industry. She has written numerous screenplays and has produced and directed several off-Broadway productions and films. She received a Letter of Commendation from First Lady Nancy Reagan for a short film on drug addiction which she wrote, produced, and directed. Some of her feature film producing credits include Down The PCH and Shannon’s Rainbow (aka Amazing Racer) starring Julianne Michelle, Claire Forlani, Oscar winner Louis Gossett Jr, Daryl Hannah, Oscar nominee and Golden Globe winner Charles Durning, and Eric Roberts. Among the movies she has written, produced, directed, and cast, her most recent motion picture is the award winning inspirational 2014 mystery suspense thriller Awakened, starring a cast of award winners including Oscar nominee Sally Kirkland and Golden Globe nominee Steven Bauer. Awakened garnered several awards including “Best Narrative Feature” at the NYCIFF in 2013. Joycelyn Engle also co-hosted, co-wrote, executive produced, and directed The Di Palma Forum at UNLV, a celebrity panel discussion TV show on national and family issues. Additionally, Ms. Engle has appeared on screen as an actress in several motion pictures.

Each year Joycelyn Engle enjoys producing and casting motion pictures and TV shows almost as much as she enjoys helping people from all over the world to improve their image, confidence, and opportunities for success. Ms. Engle teaches speech, presentation, and acting technique for image enhancement, including how to appear more attractive and exciting to others, exude confidence, eliminate undesirable sounds, accents, and speech habits, communicate more effectively, and employ other indispensable tools which can enhance one’s appearance and probability for success.

Joycelyn Engle chairs and is an active board member of several worthy charities including CCOC’s Children at Heart Celebrity Dinner Auction to benefit The Children of Chernobyl of which Steven Spielberg is Chairman. Ms. Engle was honored by CCOC with a Lifetime Achievement award in 2010 for her magnificent accomplishments and contributions to society.

Ms. Engle received the title of Countess when she married Count Joseph Di Palma, a direct descendent of Norman adventurer Rainulf Drengot, the First Count of Aversa, who emigrated from Scandinavia and Normandy France in the 11th century. Joycelyn Engle and her husband married more than 35 years ago and have two children.
